East Lothian Triathlon Club originated as an offshoot of The local Running Club - Haddington and East Lothian Pacemakers (HELP) -in 1993 and organised the first Haddington Triathlon in 1994.

Our aim is to promote the sport of Triathlon in the East Lothian area and to provide appropriate training for members. In order to do this, we have 3 official training sessions per week (one per discipline), along with a number of other informal events.

Our members are predominantly 'recreational' triathletes that have families, jobs, etc and are able to fit in 2 or 3 hours of training per week around their 'real' lives. We do also have a core of athletes that take their training more seriously, putting in upwards of 10 hours of training per week.

Whatever it is that you may be looking for in triathlon, we will have something to offer you. Don't worry about your current state of fitness - our members are real people and will be willing to help you.
