Dunbar Junior Triathlon is open for entries!

East Lothian Triathlon Club are organising a Junior Triathlon event in Dunbar on Sunday April 22nd 2007. This will be open to all children aged between 10 and 15 and will give them a chance to try an event which combines the disciplines of swimming, running and cycling.
The children will be split into two age groups 10-12 years and 13-15 years. They will be invited to compete in a swim-run-cycle-run event of 150m/250m swim, 0.8km run, 2km/4km cycle and a final 0.8km run. The swim will take place at Dunbar Leisure Pool and the off-road run will go from there to Winterfield Playing Fields. The cycle will take place on grass round the playing fields.
The event will complete with a return run leg back to the pool. There will be prizes for the top competitors in each category but every competitor will receive a certificate and memento of their achievement.
